Musetti suffers a narrow defeat against Holger Rune at the Indian Wells Masters 1000. He could not find the right rhythm from the start, with Rune dominating the first set, quickly taking the lead and closing the fraction 6-2. Despite some attempts at a reaction in the second set by Musetti, Rune remained steadfast and also won the match at the tie-break, winning 7-6(5).

During the match, Musetti showed frustration and dissatisfaction, talking to himself and giving signs of tension to his coach. Despite some moments of improvement in his game, Musetti fails to reverse the course of the match and Rune deserves the victory.

Dane Rune now prepares for the round of 16, where he will faceà the winner of the match between Taylor Fritz and Sebastian Baez.
