Jannik Sinner snubbed: "Alcaraz’s 100% è much higher"
Carlos Alcaraz è is back. The Spanish world number two tennis player è returned to winning ways in Indian Wells, repeating last year's success and breaking the fast of victories that lasted since his Wimbledon triumph in 2023. The Murcia champion overcame Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals and final, giving a great signal to the entire circuit.
In an interview with L'Equipe, Medvedev’s coach, Gilles Cervara, was impressed by Alcaraz: "He almost forces you to play perfect shots all the time. He doesn’t allow you to play a mediocre shot, otherwise he will break your head".
According to Cervara, Alcaraz è the strongest of all, even of his rival Jannnik Sinner: "His level è so high, his 100 percent è much higher than the 100 percent of others", are the words reported by tennisworlditalia.
Alcaraz is now targeting world number one Novak Djokovic: the opportunity could come as early as the next Slam, Roland Garros, where Djokovic will have to defend the victory he won in 2023.
