Economic penalty for Gianluca Mancini
The Lega Serie A announced on Tuesday, April 9, that the Giudice Sportivo Gerardo Mastrandrea has ordered a financial sanction against Gianluca Mancini, Roma defender, for the events that occurred after the final whistle of the derby della Capitale played last Saturday and won by the Giallorossi 1-0 (Mancini’s own decisive goal).
"The Sports Judge – reads the statement -, having received from the Federal Prosecutor’s Office the documentation requested by this Judge with C.U. no. 206 published today, including the acts of the investigation opened ex officio on the post-match events and in particular relating to the behavior of the player Gianluca Mancini (Soc. Roma), resolves to sanction the player Gianluca Mancini (Soc. Roma) with a fine of € 5,000.00 for having waved an offensive banner towards the fans of the opposing team during the post-match celebrations under their own curve".
The decision of the Sports Justice è came on the sidelines of other decisions made by the Giudice regarding the matches of the 31st round of Serie A: disqualified for the next day are Krstovic of Lecce, Caldirola of Monza, De Roon and Zappacosta of Atalanta, Deiola and Nandez of Cagliari, Lautaro Martinez and Pavard of Inter, Ngonge of Napoli, Saelemaekers of Bologna, Serdar of Hellas Verona.
Also arranged fines for Genoa (4 thousand euros), Roma (4 thousand euros) and Lazio (3 thousand euros) for intemperance of some supporters, in addition to Monza (3 thousand euros) punished "as objective responsibility, for having unjustifiably delayed for about three minutes the start of the second half" as reported in the relevant note of Lega Serie A.
