Reggio Emilia, Dimitris Priftis pinpoints keys to challenge against Napoli
Reggio Emilia seeks crucial playoff points
Reduced by last Monday’s defeat against Virtus Bologna, Unahotels Reggio Emilia is preparing to face GeVi Napoli in the 29th day of the A Series of basketball knowing that a success would effectively guarantee access to the playoffs. To the official channels of the red-and-white club, coach Dimitris Priftis explained the keys to the challenge to the Campani.
"It's a match that both teams want to win at all costs,” said the Greek coach.
We want to behave in front of the friendly crowd as we usually do, playing a match whose keys will be first and foremost energy and concentration, and only then tactical adjustments".
"We have remained almost all season inside the top eight of the standings and so we want to do everything to stay there until the end. The’absence of (Jamar) Smith è is heavy, but we have to make up for it with the strength of the group, as we have always done, and not with individualities" added Priftis.
Reggio Emilia currently shares fifth place in the standings with Trento, with the latter already in the playoffs due to various combinations of results in case of tied finishes. Napoli è however, just outside the zone that guarantees a place in the quarterfinals, two points behind (26 to 28) Pistoia and Tortona.
