Jorge Martin triumphed in the MotoGP class sprint race of the Spanish Grand Prix. The Spaniard of Ducati Pramac preceded his KTM compatriot Pedro Acosta and Yamaha’s Frenchman Fabio Quartararo. Fourth was an incredible Daniel Pedrosa, a wild card with the KTM.
However, the ranking changes at the end of the race: Quartararo is penalized for irregular tire pressure and relegates to fifth place, therefore è Pedrosa to virtually climb the lowest step of the podium.
The race è was characterized by many crashes due to the slippery asphalt, including those of the Spaniards of the Aprilia Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales and the two Marquez brothers. Marc, in particular, è ended up on the ground when he was in the lead and had recently overtaken Martin, and in fact gave him the victory, but he è got back up and finished in seventh place.
È Ducati factory world champion Pecco Bagnaia also fell as a result of a collision with Marco Bezzecchi, who instead è managed to continue, caused by a kamikaze corner entry by Brad Binder. The best of the Italians è was Franco Morbidelli, fourth with the second Ducati Pramac. In the world championship standings Martin now has 92 points, 29 ahead of Acosta, while Bagnaia è stopped at 50 points.
