Carlos Alcaraz's adventure at the Madrid Masters 1000 ends in the quarterfinals. The Spaniard, in fact, è was defeated in a comeback by Russian Andrey Rublev with a score of 4-6 6-3 6-2, after more than two hours of play. The Iberian's defeat was affected by the well-known pain in his right arm.
After a somewhat faltering start, Alcaraz managed to be more incisive and in the fifth game managed to snatch his service, which he then handled skillfully until the end, closing the first partial with a score of 6-4.
