Giro d'Italia: Tadej Pogacar also triumphs in Bassano Del Grappa

Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) won the 20th stage of the Giro d'Italia 107, the 184-kilometer Alpago-Bassano del Grappa race. It was the sixth success in the Corsa Rosa for the Slovenian champion, who preceded  Valentin Paret-Peintre (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team) and Daniel Felipe Martinez (Bora – Hansgrohe), who finished second and third, respectively.

"This was the plan, the team did an excellent job – commented Pogacar at the end of the stage -. Molano and Oliveira worked in the first part, Bjerg and Stake Laengen set a good pace along the first climb of Monte Grappa, we took care of the rest on the last climb. The gap I had allowed me to be able to face the descent".

" I wanted to win to honor this Maglia Rosa that I have been wearing since the second day. The warmth of the public è was impressive, I want to thank all the fans who came. Tomorrow will be my first time in Rome, I’m sure it will be a pleasant day" commented the Slovenian star.
