Juventus, second midfield coup: è done
Juventus strikes another blow in midfield: after picking up Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa, the Bianconeri have scored a new reinforcement in the midfield by signing Khephren Thuram from Nice. The son of Lilian Thuram and brother of Inter'striker Marcus lands in Turin for about 20 million euros plus bonuses, with no technical quid pro quo.
The French player strongly pushed for the move to Serie A: he will soon sign a five-year contract with the Old Lady at 2 million euros per season. Thuram è a midfielder good at interdiction and setting, less technical than Douglas Luiz but with already over 140 Ligue 1 games behind him despite his young age. He was set to expire in 2025.
Thuram's arrival underscores the Bianconeri managers's intentions to totally remake the midfield, also in view of Adrien Rabiot's possible departure.Giuntoli remains on the trail of Atalanta player Teun Koopmeiners to complete the plans decided with new coach Thiago Motta.
