Pesaro, new guard arrives from Cantù

Incoming blow in the Victoria Libertas Pesaro household. The Carpegna Prosciutto Basket Pesaro, in fact, announced that it has finalized a two-year agreement with Lorenzo Bucarelli, guard class 1998, coming from Pallacanestro Cantù.
A versatile player who canò occupy the role of '2’ and '3' and who in addition canò be play, he knows how to use his body and physical size to create advantages for himself both in pick and roll and in other isolation situations. In addition to having this versatility offensively, on defense Lorenzo can also mark multiple roles of opposing outside players.
The Tuscan basketball player’s professional career began in 2014 with the Veroli jersey in LegaDue before moving to Stella Azzurra Roma this season. From 2015 to 2017 è scene in his native Tuscany taking the court in A2 with Mens Sana Siena. At the end of the experience with the green-and-whites and a brief stint in Sassari, from 2017 to 2019 è one of the landmarks of Dinamo Cagliari, wearing the captain’s armband. In 2019/2020 he returned to Sassari winning the Italian Supercup, then in 2020/2021 he switched to Eurobasket Roma reaching the promotion playoff semifinals. From 2021 to 2024 è one of the protagonists of Pallacanestro Cantù’s attempts at promotion to the top division.
Bucarelli boasts numerous appearances in the youth lineups of the Italian national team: in 2016 in Turkey he won the bronze medal in the Under 18 European Championship while the following year in Egypt he è graduated vice world champion in the Under 19 category.
