Tadej Pogacar wants to pick up where he left off
Pogacar returns to running
Tadej Pogacar will be at the start of the Bretagne Classic – Ouest France, a French race that will represent the Slovenian cyclist’s second appearance in the race after taking three stage wins and a second-place finish in last month’s Tour de France. The two-time Grande Boucle winner will be part of a team of seven riders competing in what was known, until a few years ago, as Gp Plouay.
Pogacar: “After the last competitions, I took some time off, going to cheer on my girlfriend Urska at the women’s Tour de France and then spending some time in Slovenia. What to expect from the trip to Plouay? Probably to struggle a lot. I have been training well over the past few weeks and have felt strong, but it usually takes a while to fully regain my race rhythm. I look forward to being back in the race and tackling the last part of the season.”
The team will be led by coach Fabrizio Guidi (Ita): Ryan Gibbons (RSA), Vegard Stake Laengen (Nor), Rui Oliveira (Por), Tadej Pogacar (Slo), Matteo Trentin (Ita), Oliviero Troia (Ita) and Diego Ulissi (Ita).
