Jannik Sinner gets back on track: success on comeback

Jannik Sinner in the round of 16 in Montreal
The return to the singles court for Jannik Sinner, who hasn’t played since the Wimbledon quarterfinals, è more than positive: having recovered his form after tonsillitis forced him to miss the Olympic Games, the world No. 1 overcame Borna Coric to qualify for the round of 16 at the Montreal ATP tournament.
The South Tyrolean, the tournament’s No. 1 seed and, as such, already qualified for the second round, beat the Croatian in two sets, 6-2, 6-4, in an hour and 36 minutes of play.
Match without major worries for Sinner, who never lost a game on his own serve and è was able to control the game on Canadian concrete from the beginning to the end of the match.
Almost at the same time, Italian tennis celebrated, also in Montreal, the passing of the round by Matteo Arnaldi, who beat 7-5, 7-5 Karen Khachanov. Also ahead was Flavio Cobolli, who defeated 6-3, 6-2 Felix Auger-Aliassime.
