Max Verstappen, fists on steering wheel: "She's become a monster!"
Max Verstappen è failed to hide his frustration during the Monza Grand Prix: the invincible Red Bull of last season now seems a distant memory and the Dutch driver è stumbled into his sixth race in a row without a win, finishing just sixth. After the first stop by as much as 6 seconds, the world champion threw his fists on the steering wheel out of bitterness and anger.
"This car è slow, there’s not been the power we wanted, né pace, né pitstops. We have to work hard to change the car", he said after the finish line via team radio, a prelude to the post-race outburst.
"Last year we had the most dominant car ever, but it è turned into a monster", are the words in front of reporters" reported by Gpblog.
"I have already said a lot about it. Now it is up to the team to make several changes to the car. We have gone from a’very dominant car to an’uncontrollable car in the space of six to eight months…. I find that really strange. Now we really have to twist the car".
