Marc Marquez covered with whistles on the podium in Misano
New chapter in the diatribe between Marc Marquez and the Italian public: also in Misano, during the award ceremony of the San Marino Grand Prix, the Catalan rider è was booed by several fans. The eight-time world champion now rides an Italian motorcycle and from 2025 will be Pecco Bagnaia's teammate in the official Ducati team, but he continues to be disliked by much of the Italian public because of his history with Valentino Rossi.
The fans were also vocal in large numbers after Marquez’s dominant and well-deserved victory at the end of a Grand Prix marked by rain: lots of boos and whistles came from the fans who flocked to the track under the podium at the moment of the arrival of the number 93.
The climate is è overheated again in MotoGP after the Aragon episode, when Marc’s younger brother Alex rear-ended world champion Pecco Bagnaia, causing him to fall. The two later cleared up after an initial squabble, but it è was enough to reawaken old rivalries.
Marc Marquez è was covered with whistles, the applause came only for Luca Gresini and Pecco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini, also on the podium.
