Each of the six participants guaranteed 1.5 million

From October 16 to 19, the Six Kings Slam, a very rich tournament in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will be held. The best six players in the world will compete against each other. Lots and lots of money up for grabs. Just for single participation, each big name will cash in; 1.5 million euros. Those who win the tournament, on the other hand, take home as much as six million euros.

Of course, barring any last-minute unforeseen events, Sinner will also be in Riyadh. Along with the world No. 1 should be Alcaraz, Djokovic, Medvedev, Rune and Nadal (the latter has let it be known that he will not participate in the Laver Cup in Berlin, scheduled for Sept. 20-22). The Majorcan’s presence, therefore, è still in doubt.

The others, however, are expected to participate in a tournament that reiterates, once again, how Saudi Arabia is particularly interested in the world of tennis. In addition to princely investments in soccer or golf, tennis represents another stated goal.

In this regard, there is much talk, with great insistence, of the possibility of including in the ATP circuit a new Masters 1000 that would be played precisely in Riyadh, before the Australian Open. Meanwhile, to the tune of money, Saudi Arabia is giving itself six world tennis bigwigs in a tournament with a crazy prize pool.
