Italy buoyed by Jannik Sinner, an exceptional fan who arrived yesterday, is set to take on Holland at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno for the first place in the Davis Cup qualifying round A.
The Azzurri are already assured of playing in the Final Eight, which is scheduled for Nov. 19-24 in Malaga thanks to Brazil’s 2-1 victory over Belgium yesterday.
Non-player captain Filippo Volandri is expected to field again in the two singles Matteo Berrettini and Flavio Cobolli against Boti Van de Zandschulp and Tallon Griekspoor, respectively, and then, in the doubles, the award-winning pair composed of Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori.
Appointment starting at 3 p.m. for the start of the first singles match between Berrettini and Van de Zandschulp, who this year beat Carlos Alcaraz in the third round of the US Open.
