Matteo Arnaldi and Mattia Bellucci eliminated from the Tokyo ATP 500
It's over in the first round Matteo Arnaldi's adventure at the Tokyo ATP 500. The Italian tennis player, in fact, è was defeated by the American Tommy Paul with the score of 6-2 6-3, in one hour and eight minutes of play.
The match started immediately uphill for the Italian, as in the third game came the break by the American. The world number 13 then repeated in the ninth closing the set at 6-3.
In the second partial, after a balanced start è Paul again upped the pace by snatching service from Arnaldi to zero in the sixth game. The American è was perfect on his own serves and in the eighth game put the icing on the cake by finding another break that ended the match.
He did not succeed in the feat, however, Mattia Bellucci, who was overwhelmed on his debut by Britain's Jack Draper, who won the match with a clear 6-4 6-2, after a match controlled from start to finish.
Representing Italy at the Atp 500 in Tokyo, therefore, remains only Matteo Berrettini, who will have to face the winner of the match between Taylor Fritz and Arthur Fils in the round of 16.
