Another step toward the No. 1 seed in the MLS playoffs. Inter Miami draws the match with Charlotte FC (1-1 the final). After going down (Swiderski’s goal), it was the usual Messi, at 67', who brought the match back into balance. In the final, Inter Miami also came close to victory.

A draw that is worth a lot in terms of the overall standings. Inter Miami, in fact, has a seven-point lead over the LA Galaxy, the second-strongest team in the tournament. With three regular season matches still to be played, the first place in the post season grid è really one step away. Should Tata Martino’s team win their next match with Columbus, the No. 1 seed would be mathematical.

Meanwhile, there's a tribute, once again, to the talent of Messi. The Argentine, with his goal against Charlotte FC, è reached 15 goals in 16 matches played. A goal "a la Messi" with dribbling and the ball in the net, just like in the old days.

If Inter Miami, currently on 65 points, wins all three remaining regular season matches, it will finish with 74 points, one more than the record in MLS history of 73 set by New England in the 2021 regular season.
