Jannik Sinner still not thinking about Carlos Alcaraz

Jannik Sinner won the final of the Beijing ATP 500 after overcoming in the semifinals in two sets (6-3 7-6) Chinese Yunchaokete Bu, the real surprise of the tournament. "It’ was a very tough match, I did not know him much and at the beginning I did not know what to expect" commented the world number one, in the post-match interview.

"In the first set I played good tennis: I lost a little bit of intensity’ in the second where, despite everything, I had some chances but I was not able to break him – added the South Tyrolean -. Mentally forò I managed to stay in the match and played instead a pretty good tie-break".

In the 'last act of the 'China Open' the Italian will challenge Carlos Alcaraz: "I am content to be back in the finals again this year, but against Alcaraz it will be different because we know each other really well. The next match for now I don’t want to think but I just want to rest. I know it will be tough but the situations on the court can be very different depending on the matches and the moment".

"However, for now I enjoy the fact of being one’more time in the final this year (the seventh, with 6 wins out of 6 in the previous ones, ed.): playing for the title  always a great moment. I hope it will be a great match for both of us and…I hope to win it" concluded Sinner.
