Hard punishment inflicted on Leonardo Baroncelli

The ugly episode that in the 85th minute of the Primavera 1 Championship match between Fiorentina and Roma (ended 3-1 for the Viola) è cost dearly to the two protagonists, Leonardo Baroncelli of Fiorentina and Giulio Misitano of Roma, both expelled and both predictably disqualified by the Sports Judge.

Particularly heavy was the decision with regard to Baroncelli, disqualified for a full five days, as specified in the Lega Serie A communiqué, "for having, at 40° of the second half, at a standstill, assumed an aggressive and intimidating attitude towards an opposing player, encircling his neck with his hands; subsequently, upon notification of the expulsion measure, he grabbed the outstretched arm of the match director who invited him to leave the playing enclosure, trying to push him down".

Instead, two days of disqualification were inflicted on the Roma player, "for having, at 40° of the second half, in freeing himself from the grasp of an opposing footballer who had encircled his neck with his hands, hit the same with a hand to the face" as explained in the ruling of the Sports Authority'

Misitano, by the way, had scored on 57'of the same match, signing the momentary 1-2. For Fiorentina, on the other hand, Tommaso Rubino had written his name on the scoreboard, up at 15' on a penalty and at 80', and Riccardo Braschi, at minute 37 of the first half of the game.
