Varese basketball: Herman Mandole spurs his team and makes an appeal to fans

These are the words of Pallacanestro Varese head coach Herman Mandole ahead of the home challenge against Bertram Derthona, valid for the second day of the A series of basketball.

"We have to win by playing well, especially on defense, out of respect not only for us as a team, but also and especially for our fans. I feel bad when I think that for the whole pre-season we have been working hard on the defensive aspect, both in training and on public occasions, and then last Sunday we did not live up to our promises" began the head coach of the red-and-whites in a press conference.

"We know that we have to improve on this aspect and the players know it too. I am convinced that after a full week of work against Tortona we will be able to do better in our halfà court" added the head coach of Varese Basketball.

"As professionals we are not at all happy with what we did against Brescia, we want to turn things around right away and I think we will be able to do that. To achieve the goal, however, we will also need the strength that only our public can give us" Herman Mandole commented.
