Nations League, Ben Simon challenges Luciano Spalletti
The words of Ben Simon
Israel coach Ben Simon spoke on the eve of the Nations League match against Italy: "At times we played well against France and also in the first leg against Italy. We want to be competitive, we have to stay in the game throughout the match, also because I don't like garbage time".
"We see and hear everything, but we cannot control things, we are preparing ourselves not looking out", he added hinting at the very delicate extra-football situation that the country is experiencing
"We want to do our best. We must take the field without having regrets afterwards, giving everything. With us are the best boys in Israel, we are calm and will do everything we can on the field. We are preparing a game against a very strong national team".
"I have very good players, if I feel like calling another important player for the team I call him, we want to build a national team that plays well and everything we do has very serious thought" at the base of it, he concluded.
