Never has so much money been spent by Premier League clubs
As reported by The Sun, the Premier League, in this summer market window, spent as much as 1.92 billion pounds, setting a new all-time record (breaking the 2017 record when as much as 1.4 billion was invested in the market).
The net loss (difference between purchases and disposals), was 1.07 billion pounds. Chelsea proved to be the most spendthrift club with total investments of 255.3 million (with a loss of 204 million (followed by Manchester United, “under” by 203). Data that confirm, if ever there was a need, how the Premier League is now the richest and most powerful league in the world.
