There's great anticipation for the Mexican GP. Thanks to a resounding qualifying, Carlos Sainz è took pole position (the sixth in his career, the first of the season). The Ferrari driver feels on a high note. Not Charles Leclerc, who, thanks to a few too many mistakes, è had to settle for fourth place on the grid.

"I am very happy. I had a couple of great laps. My laps were almost perfect. Normally that doesn’t happen to me in Mexico because of the track that è very slippery. With Ferrari since Austin we have taken a step forward, even in qualifying. The direction è the right one", the words of Carlos Sainz, definitely charged for the race.

In a different mood Charles Leclerc, not happy with his performance: "Sainz? Carlos è went strong, I went slow, there isn't much to explain. I am very angry with how I have worked so far, because I had to push harder. You canò win even starting fourth, è true, but starting first could have been easier. I am angry with myself", his post qualifying statements.

Vasseur, team principal of Ferrari, looks to the race with optimism: "This è a good boost after Austin. I remember, however, that the one in Mexico City è Mexico è is the longest straight of the season, so itè better to start in the lead from Turn 1. I hope we can maintain the same approach as in qualifying in the race".
