In Monza between the biancorossi and Venezia it all happens in the first half
Monza-Venice 2-2
At the U-Power in Monza everything happens in the first half with Venezia twice leading and twice caught: 2-2 the final. In the beginning the guests try to propose themselves forward but the first attempt towards the opponent’s goal è by the biancorosso Djuric, who hits a header: high ball. Di Francesco’s men, who in the last championship had won in Brianza with Frosinone, go through on 15’: Oristanio goes away to Carboni and puts in the middle for Ellerstson who, all alone, strikes Turati.
Monza swerves but after eight minutes finds the equalizer: it’s all done by Kyriakopoulos, who penetrates the area, dribbles an opponent and with a diagonal left-footed shot leaves Stankovic no chance. The match è pleasant and the Venetians go in goal again, this time, at 38’, with Svoboda’s header on the development of a free kick: home defense revisable on the’occasion.
Kyriakopoulos, the best of his team, at the end of the half came down peremptorily on the wing and put in the middle: Djuric’s header was inaccurate, but shortly afterwards he scored a great goal. The Bosnian, served once again by the Greek, controls and beats Stankovic for the second time. 2-2 at’halftime.
They restarted without changes and with an aggressive Venice but then è Monza took the lead in operations, although the construction from the bottom è often inaccurate and unnerved many home fans. The two goalkeepers do not run great dangers and soè the coaches try to change the cards on the table: in the lagunari also enters the former Gytkjaer, awarded before the match by Adriano Galliani.
The match turns on at 74’ when Bondo already goes into the box after a push by an opponent: for the referee, it isn’t a penalty and neither for the Var, since he doesn’t call him back for a check. Izzo tries, ball out, not by much, just before Monza remains in ten for the second yellow and then the red to Bondo.
In numerical superiority Venezia looks for the full loot, but Busio does not take advantage of a good chance, Monza’s response, with D’Ambrosio, does not give results. The last excitement, in full recovery, with a free kick from a dangerous position for the guests but the home defense foils the threat: it ends 2-2.
