Max Verstappen downplays on Lewis Hamilton and throws a dig at Ferrari
Max Verstappen already goesù flat on Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari
Speaking to German newspaper "Sport Bild", Red Bull driver Max Verstappen è returned to talk about Lewis Hamilton’s decision to switch to Ferrari starting in 2025. In his analysis, the Dutch driver did not hide his indifference to his rival’s choice and also did not spare barbs against the Maranello stable.
"I don’t care, the thing didn’t upset me much. I didn’t have any emotion about it, becauseé I want to beat every driver and every car. The fact that Lewis is behind the wheel of the red car or the silver car makes no difference to me" began the Red Bull driver.
"However, I can understand that there's been a lot of interest about his choice to change. It's a good thing for F1 and it will be interesting to see how he and Charles Leclerc will be able to work within the same team" continued the three-time world champion.
" I have a more pragmatic view of Ferrari. I want to win and so I will always want to drive the car that will give me the most opportunities to do so. At the moment this car è the Red Bull. I don’t secretly dream of wearing the red suit and I don’t have this thought nagging at me constantly becauseé I’m looking for new challenges, especially considering that at the moment there are no seats available" added the Dutch driver.
"Ferrari è an incredible brand and one that has achieved so much success in our sport. It only made sense that Hamilton would take this opportunityà to fulfill his dream when itè presented" commented Max Verstappen.
