F1, Ferrari towards Monza: Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz speak out
The goal is to forget the weekends at Spa and Zandvoort
After two race weekends that were difficult to say the least, both at Spa and Zandvoort, Ferrari is preparing for the Italian Grand Prix with many fewer certainties, especially from the point of view of the world rankings, but also with a great desire for revenge, as demonstrated by the words to the microphones of ‘Sky Sport’ of the two drivers of the Cavallino, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.
“We are not going to give up, we will try until the end” – Leclerc commented – “It’s true, the last two weekends have been difficult but now we have to think about Monza, a track where anything can happen. Hopefully we can come back to win, it will be difficult but even if, on paper, the circuit does not favor us we absolutely have to try. We will also have the push of the fans, sometimes miracles happen thanks to them.”
Sainz, in his speech, also returned to talk about the pit mess in Holland: “We made a mistake at the pit stop not because of the mechanics’ fault, but because of the delay in the call. We are a team, we win together and we lose together. I want the fans to support not only me and Charles, but also all the mechanics-they are the ones who work the hardest, they deserve all our support. It would be great to see everyone cheering for a Ferrari victory.”
