The words of Lamaro

A cold and sunny day was the backdrop for the Captain’s Run of the Italian Men’s National Rugby Team at the Ferraris Stadium in Genoa, which tomorrow – Sunday, Nov. 17 – at 2:40 p.m. will host Italy’s second Test Match in the Autumn Nations Series. The Azzurri will face Georgia in the match that will be broadcast live on Sky Sport Arena and free-to-air on Cielo.

“The memory of Batumi è alive and we learned a lot from that match. We definitely want to take another step forward. Playing in front of our audience gives us so much energy. Between us in the team we have a very strong bond. It’s an added value – said Michele Lamaro in the press conference at the end of the finishing practice – that we want to bring to the field trying to exploit it in our favor. In tomorrow’s game, it will also be crucial to give an answer to last week’s result where we made a few too many mistakes and managed the game not at our best”.

“Georgia è a team that plays with a lot of passion and they show it every time they take the field. They have players who play in various leagues: despite this on the field you can see a great unity of the group and they feel a strong bond towards their homeland. They always give their best to achieve their goals. They deserve all our respect. They have players of great qualityà”.

“During the week we focused on us and what we can do better. Against Argentina we conceded something too much: this è was one of the points we focused on” stressed the Italy captain.
