During an interview given to the microphones of the French daily "L'Equipe", Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, among other topics discussed, è returned to the arrival in the Maranello stable of Lewis Hamilton. More specifically, the Monegasque did not hide his motivation in being able to confront the seven-time world champion.
"Having next to a staordinario champion like Lewis è something that excites me a lot, becauseé we are talking about one of the best drivers in the history of this sport. It will be a huge opportunity for me to learn, grow and observe how he works. It will be interesting to see how the team takesà another approach. It will beà also very stimulating for me to have the opportunity to compare myself with him on the track with the same car" debuted the Ferrari driver.
"Alreadyà in past years we talked, but since we learned that we will be teammates, we have intensified our dialogue. We have several passions in common, but we have not yet had a chance to get to know each other thoroughly" continued the Monegasque driver.
"I am sure that together we can do great things. Our goal remains the same, which is to bring Ferrari back to the top. I know we will work well together and give our all to achieve this goal. We have a lot of work to do,but we are ready. I am sure that together with Lewis we will be able to bring the world title back to Maranello" added the number 16 of the Prancing Horse.
"When I renewed my contract with Ferrari, I did it becauseé I believe we can become world champions. I know we are on the right track and I can't wait to prove on the track that we are the best. It would be great to fight with Hamilton for the world title and if there are no other drivers in the fight, I am sure Vasseur will not favor either of us" concluded Charles Leclerc.
