Cremonese-Sampdoria 1-1 and Juve Stabia-Cesena 1-0
The eighteenth day of Serie B è closed with Juve Stabia’s narrow victory over Cesena (1-0) and a draw between Cremonese and Sampdoria (1-1).
At the 'Menti' in Castellammare di Stabia the hosts needed only a Floriani Mussolini header goal at 21', on a cross from the left by Piscopo. In the second half the guests pushed but without ever making themselves really dangerous and Juve Stabia wasted on a couple of occasions the double on the counterattack, thanks also to the naive expulsion for double admonition of the Romagnolo Ceesay.
At the 'Zini' in Cremona, the Blucerchiati went ahead at the end of the first half with Bellemo, on an assist from Tutino, who was shrewd in taking advantage of a wrong pass from Ravanelli to Fulignati. In the second half però came the deserved equalizer of the grigiorossi with a shot by Vazquez, deflected by Riccio. The Lombardi tried to turn it around but Ghidotti kept the Ligurians afloat.
Thanks to its third win in a row, Juve Stabia flies to fourth place in the standings at 28, bypassing Cremonese themselves, fifth at 26, and Cesena, sixth, stuck at 25. Sampdoria gains a point and moves up to 14th place, on 19 points.
