Jacques Villeneuve trashes Daniel Ricciardo outright. The Australian still does not have a seat for the looming F1 season after McLaren announced that he will not be Lando Norris’ teammate. The former Williams commented to F1TV microphones, “He had two terrible years at Renault and two even worse years at McLaren. That makes four years in all, and how long has he been in F1? Almost half of his F1 career has been bad.”

For the former Red Bull driver there has been talk of a position at Alpine, on this rumor Villeneuve said, “There is no reason for Alpine to look for him, especially since it is a team he has already driven for.” Ricciardo recently said that if he did not find a seat in Formula 1, he would not commit to any other series, and in case it happened he would aim for a seat in the 2024 season.
