Not yet able to train with racket and ball, given the suspension agreed upon with Wada, Jannik Sinner is keeping fit in an alternative way, and he is doing so with some decidedly special training partners. As shown by Lidl-Trek cyclist Giulio Ciccone on his Instagram profile, the South Tyrolean took part in a bike workout along with the Sicilian climber himself and two racing riders who preferred pedals for the occasion, Alessandro Pier Giudi and Antonio Giovinazzi.

“Bicycle outing with friends, first time for one of us… and I would say he did great!”” wrote Ciccone, in a post published Saturday and promptly re-shared on his own social media by Sinner himself. There were numerous comments from friends and fans, who not only asked how Sinner fared on two wheels but, given the presence of the two Ferrari drivers, asked if the South Tyrolean will train behind the wheel next time.

Light mood and smiles, however, for Jannik Sinner, who despite his prolonged absence due to suspension remains world No. 1, more than 2 thousand points ahead of the second-ranked, German Alexander Zverev, who exited the Miami tournament in the round of 16, defeated by Arthur Fils in a comeback two sets to one.

Sinner, who has not been on court since the Australian Open final won by Zverev himself by three sets to zero, will return to practice next April 13, but will have to wait further to reappear in an official match: the goal is to return for the Internazionali di Roma, to get back into match rhythm ahead of Roland Garros.
