The 1000 Miglia already enchants in Rome

The 1000 Miglia, an undisputed symbol of Italian creativity, engineering and style, is not just a race: it is an epic journey into the soul of Italy and was presented in Rome, in the splendid setting of the Library of Palazzo Marina, in the presence of the Navy’s Under-Chief of Staff, Admiral Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto, the President of 1000 Miglia Srl, Beatrice Saottini and the Chief of the Public Information and Communication Office of the Navy General Staff, Rear Admiral Jacopo Rollo.

The “unique traveling museum in the world,” as Enzo Ferrari called the race, will return from June 17 to 21, 2025 to travel 1900 km from Brescia to Rome and back, passing through more than 200 towns and cities, bringing with it more than 400 masterpieces of historic motoring: cars that are works of art in motion, witnesses to a century of passion and innovation.

The 2025 edition confirms the five-day Format, retracing the “figure-of-eight” route of the legendary pre-war editions. The crews will pass through Desenzano, Sirmione, Verona, Ferrara, Prato, Siena, Orvieto, Arezzo, Sansepolcro, San Marino, all the way to the Tuscan coast with the evocative passage to the Naval Academy of the Navy in Livorno and Parma before returning to Brescia.

The 2025 edition of the event is a five-day event.

A journey combining cities of art, historic villages and breathtaking landscapes, celebrating Italy as a cradle of beauty, ingenuity and culture.

On June 18, the 1000 Miglia will stop in Rome, providing a unique spectacle for citizens and tourists. The cars will enter the capital from 7 p.m. from Via Cassia Veientana, continue on Corso Francia, Piazza Euclide and Viale delle Belle Arti (National Gallery of Modern Art) to reach the sporting finish line at Villa Borghese near the Statue of Goethe before concluding the stage in the iconic Via Veneto, where the cars will parade in the memory of La Dolce Vita, greeted by the enthusiasm of the public. From here, the city route that will head to Piazza Barberini, Via degli Annibaldi, Piazza del Colosseo, Viale delle Terme di Caracalla and Via Cristoforo Colombo will end in Roma EUR for an overnight stop. The following morning, the convoy will depart at 08:00 a.m. with the Time Control in Via Rebecchini to continue to Via Salaria heading north.

Rome thus confirms itself, together with Brescia, as a historical and unavoidable stage of the 1000 Miglia: two cities that for almost a century have welcomed the race as custodians of its soul, two symbolic poles that ideally link Northern and Central Italy, the departure and the turnaround, the memory and the dream.

“The arrival in Rome has always been one of the most eagerly awaited moments of the 1000 Miglia,” said Beatrice Saottini, President of 1000 Miglia Srl, “because this is where Italian beauty is embodied, between history, art and popular passion. Rome welcomes us as only a capital city can, transforming every meter of the route into a dream scenario”.
