Giro d'Italia 2025, ranking shakeup after stage 16

The sixteenth stage of the Giro d’Italia 2025 has shaken up the overall standings of the pink race: the first real mountain stage put a strain on the GC men, with Primoz Roglic dropping out after a new crash and Juan Ayuso collapsing and dropping out of the top positions.

The pink jersey Del Toro held on but now his lead is reduced to 26 seconds over Simon Yates and 31 seconds over Richard Carapaz. What is new is Giulio Pellizzari’s entry into the top 10 in ninth place. Mads Pedersen is the leader of the points classification, while the blue jersey of best climber is on the shoulders of Lorenzo Fortunato.
