The final day of the group stage of the Under-21 European Championships being held in Slovakia for France and Poland.

Of the two, it is the transalpine selection that needs a positive result (a draw at the very least), as the standings see it on 4 points along with Portugal, with Georgia immediately behind on 3. Poland, 0 points in two games, on the other hand, is already eliminated and playing to avoid a triple knockout before going home.

Gerard Baticle, France coach, is expected to confirm in the starting eleven both Mathys Tel and Johann Lepenant, who scored in the 3-2 win over Georgia last Saturday. On the other hand, Thierno Barry, who against the Georgians scored the goal of the unhoped-for success in the 12th minute of the very long recovery assigned by referee Sundberg,

will start again from the bench.

As for Poland, led instead by Adam Majewski, the only goal scored in the first two matches (1-2 against Georgia, 0-5 against Portugal) was scored on a penalty kick by Jakub Kaluzinski. The Antalyaspor midfielder should be of the challenge barring any surprises, in a midfield that also includes Kozlowski, Legowski and Fornalczyk.

Probable lineups

FRANCE (4-3-3): Restes; Matsima, Lukeba, Merlin; Doukoure, Lepenant, Agoume; Odobert, Tel, Lamarechai. C.t. Baticle.

POLAND (5-4-1): Tobiasz; Marczuk, Peda, Mosoro, Gurgul, Pyrka; Kozlowski, Kaluzinski, Legowski, Fornalczyk; Szymczak. All. Majewski.
