Mateo Retegui leaves Atalanta: flies to Saudi Arabia

Mateo Retegui is one step away from leaving Atalanta. The Azzurri bomber, in fact, is about to fly to Saudi Arabia to Al Qadsiah, with whom he will sign a four-year contract worth about 20 million euros a season, a staggering figure.
After the first offer of 50 million, the Saudi club upped its proposal by putting as much as 67 million euros on the plate, including bonuses, a figure that cannot be renounced for the Nerazzurri club, which would record yet another capital gain, given that Retegui landed in Bergamo for 22 million euros plus three in bonuses.
After finding an agreement with the 1999-class center forward, Al Qadsiah has thus reached an agreement with Atalanta as well. All that is missing is the formalities for the transfer to Arabia of Retegui, who will take the place of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
In the last season with the Dea shirt, Retegui scored 28 goals in 49 appearances among all competitions, including as many as 25 goals in Serie A, becoming the Italian league’s top scorer.
