F1, Guanyu Zhou eager to continue with Alfa Romeo

“I am looking forward to all the new challenges,” said the pilot.

On the morning of Tuesday, September 27, Alfa Romeo Sauber, through social channels and an official press release, announced the confirmation and subsequent contract renewal of Guanyu Zhou for next season. The Asian driver’s achievements so far were decisive in this decision: he has collected six points and currently occupies the 17th position in the Formula 1 standings.

At a Puma-branded event in Singapore, the Chinese driver spoke to the microphones of Motorsport.com.

Zhou, first addressed the current season: “There was some doubt at the beginning of the year, because I didn’t know how my first rookie season would go. But, actually, it went quite well.”

The driver added, “The team is very pleased with the goals we managed to achieve and also with the potential we showed, especially with my driving.”

“At the halfway point I felt there was a high possibility to continue with the team, I am really looking forward to all the new challenges ahead,” Zhou concluded.
