His first season in the Liverpool jersey ended with the Premier League victory. However, Federico Chiesa was by no means the star of the Reds’ triumphant ride. In fact, he collected only very few appearances (14 appearances and 2 goals) in a season in which he was often left to watch others play.

Those who thought he might have a chance this new season were disappointed. The 2021 European Champion d’Europe 2021 was not called up for Liverpool’s Asian tour. In a nutshell, Federico Chiesa is considered out of the Reds’ plans.

Despite a contract until June 2028, with a salary of about 6.5 million euros per season, the’former Juventus and Fiorentina player is on the market. His dream would be to return to play in Serie A.

In particular, he would welcome playing for Antonio Conte’s Napoli. At the moment, the Neapolitan club seems intent on targeting other profiles but, should there be an opportunity to get Federico Chiesa at a favorable price, it is not certain that Napoli would not try. At the present time, it is not easy to find an Italian, first-tier club that can guarantee him the salary received by the Reds who, consequently, would have to share in the expense.
