Zakaria Aboukhlal: first day at Torino, his farewell to Toulouse

Torino soccer: Zakaria Aboukhlal experienced his first day as a Granata player on Wednesday, working with his new teammates and his new coach Marco Baroni. In the aftermath of the announcement of his transfer, however, he also wanted to say goodbye to that Toulouse for which he played for the past three seasons.
“Torino Football Club is pleased to announce that it has acquired from Toulouse Football Club, outright, the right to the sports performance of the player Zakaria Aboukhlal, who signed a contract until June 30, 2029″ reads the website of Urbano Cairo’s club. Born in 2000, the new granata player is a right flanker who prefers to play in an advanced position as a winger, but can occupy any line including as a defensive flanker.
“Here in Toulouse, after three years, it is over for me. I had a good time, facing good and not so good moments. I won a cup, suffered a bad injury and built great friendships, similar to a family. I want to thank all my teammates and staff. I grew as a person and as a footballer. I felt a lot of closeness from everyone, especially after my injury. So I thank you, I will continue to follow you and wish you good luck for the new season. Thank you”, are the words with which Aboukhlal greeted the “Violets” of Ligue 1.
Paid about 8.5 million euros outright by Torino, Aboukhlal already made himself available to Marco Baroni on Wednesday to take the field in the highly prestigious friendly against another Ligue 1 team: Monaco.
