F1, Max Verstappen outspoken after first day at Singapore circuit
The Red Bull driver spoke in vissta of the Singapore Gp.
Max Verstappen spoke to the media present in Singapore after the first day of free practice at the Asian circuit, where the Dutchman set the second fastest time in the first session and fourth in the second.
“I think we had a good start. In FP1 the car was working well, while in FP2 we wanted to try some things and it took a little bit more time to change them,” explained the Red Bull driver.
“Then when we tried something else it took some time to change it back. That’s why we couldn’t spend much time on the track. I think the performance shown in FP2 is not representative of how good our package is. There is still a lot of room for improvement,” continued the world championship leader.
“It doesn’t matter not having tried long runs, the important thing is to be fast on the dry lap. We will analyze many things. We did some long runs in FP1, so I don’t think it’s the end of the world,” concluded the reigning world champion.
