From Marc Marquez a warning to MotoGP as it resumes after the vacations

Marc Marquez arrives at the Red Bull Ring on the strength of a first half of the season in which he dominated MotoGP with virtually no rivals. The Grand Prix d’Austria, however, is a rainbow event that has never seen him pick up even one victory during his career, a perfect opportunity to make up for it in 2025. Especially since the race in Spielberg, dominated in recent years by Pecco Bagnaia, comes after a long vacation period for the protagonists of the Motomondiale.
“I couldn’t wait to get back on track after the vacation – highlighted Marquez -I was able to disconnect and rest, but now I am ready to start again. In Austria, I have never achieved great satisfaction, but even here I have faced many splendid duels until the’last corner and the’last meter”.
The Ducati Catalan is aware that he is heading into a second half of the championship in which he will be able to allow himself to manage the lead in the standings. The first pursuer remains his brother, but Alex Marquez is also a full 120 points away. Bagnaia, a two-time MotoGP champion and his box mate, is even at -168. After years of disappointment, however, it is not yet time to pull the reins in the boat.
“I am ready to face this second part of the championship to the best of my ability” concluded Marquez. Who has won eight out of 12 long races so far, first equaling and surpassing Giacomo Agostini’s 68 wins in the premier class and then setting a series of records worthy of his best years at Honda. The goal is to confirm himself as the MotoGP cannibal at Ducati as well, as he has throughout this first phase of the 2025 season.
