Danilo Petrucci finished last in qualifying, more than a second and a half behind the others: “I thought I had a perfect lap…”

Danilo Petrucci will start from the last grid position in the Singapore Grand Prix. The rider from Terni, back for the occasion in MotoGp riding a Suzuki to replace Joan Mir, has struggled to adapt to the new bike and a totally different brand.

“I realized that you need a very good knowledge of the bike to attack the lap time,” Petrucci explained in a press conference. “Everything is new and at the beginning it was almost shocking. I thought I had the perfect lap and I was last…. If it rains tomorrow I wouldn’t mind, my physical condition is very bad. And here in Buriram is the worst possible track, this track tested me already in 2018-19 when I was in shape, let alone now.”
