Anna Kalinskaya, a year later everything has changed: tears in the tunnel

Almost a year ago, Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya kissed for the first time in public after the blue tennis player won the 2024 US Open. Twelve months later, it’s all different:the relationship between the two is long over, and the Moscow-based tennis player left New York in tears after her knockout with Iga Swiatek in the third round of the Slam tournament.

The Russian tennis player was unable to hide her bitterness over a match that could have gone quite differently: ahead 5-1 in the first set, she was then reeled in and defeated at the tie break by the Polish player, who then won 6-4 in the second set.

A missed opportunity for Anna, who burst into tears in the tunnel on her way back to the locker room: the cameras caught her and the video went viral on social media. However, Kalinskaya confirmed in New York the growth of recent months, which has taken her to the quarterfinals in Cincinnati and the final in Washington. In the rankings, the Russian is currently in 32nd place.

Anna in recent tournaments has been accompanied by her inseparable dog Bella, who follows her all the way to the court and celebrates her after matches.
