MotoGP, Japan GP: Marco Bezzecchi soars in pre-qualifying

It is Marco Bezzecchi the fastest rider in pre-qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix. After a complicated first free practice session – in which he fell twice – the centaur of the ’Aprilia redeemed himself, signing the best time in 1’43″193.

Back behind the Rimini rider was the KTM of Pedro Acosta, less than a tenth and a half away, and the Ducati of Marc Marquez, over a tenth and a half from the leader. Completing the top 5 are Joan Mir (Honda HRC) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team).

Only seventh was Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati) who had set the best time in the first free practice. The Turin rider finished behind the’other Honda HRC of Luca Marini. Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse Racing) and Johann Zarco (Honda LCR) closed the top 10.
