Colonel Carlo Calcagni confirmed himself a champion, taking first place in the 400 meters at the Paralympic World Championships being held in New Delhi, India, with a time of 59.47 seconds.

“Today I did not run for a medal – he said after yet another triumph -I ran against pain, against illness, against every limitation that life has imposed on me. Every step was a piece of sacrifice, every breath a sign of my resilience. Victory is not just the finish line crossed first, but proof that nothing is impossible if you really believe in it. This victory is a symbol of those who do not give up, those who turn scars into strength, those who fight every day with dignity and hope.”

“I dedicate this victory to those who suffer, those who fight in silence, those who think they can’t make it: never stop believing in yourself, because life, even in difficulty, can still give us immense emotions. Never give up, in spite of everything and everyone, no matter what the cost,” added the outfielder, who inflicted abysmal detachments on his opponents.
