Tottenham coach Antonio Conte canceled press conference after death of athletic trainer

The death of Gian Piero Ventrone, a former Juventus athletic trainer currently working at Tottenham, has also shocked Antonio Conte.

The Lecce coach, who had strongly wanted the former Juventus trainer in London, canceled a press conference scheduled for this afternoon ahead of the Premier League match against Brighton. “Conte is enormously upset,” Tottenham let Lapresse know.

The English club itself issued a statement, “We are devastated to announce the passing of athletic trainer Gian Piero Ventrone. He will be greatly missed by everyone at the club and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this incredibly sad time.”
