Federico Chiesa, the wind has changed: last chance for Italian suitors

Just until a few months ago it seemed that the relationship between Liverpool and Federico Chiesa was to end without any major highlights: instead, in this start of the former Juve man’s second season at the Reds, the first goals and some important assists have arrived, so much so that the champion of Europe with the national team in 2021 has been voted by the fans as Liverpool player of the month.
In the note reported by the reigning Premier League champion club are some flattering reviews from supporters, who call him “Impact player”, “Decisive every time he enters the field”, “Fantastic to watch with the ball at his feet”. Chiesa beat in the fans-only vote Alisson Becker and Ryan Gravenberch, who both garnered 18 percent of the vote, compared to the Italian’s 34 percent.
“Whatever minutes I am given I try to give my best – said Chiesa, saying he was excited about the award he received. “My goal is to help the team, have a positive attitude and try to make an impact. That is why I am here. I hope to continue to do well and return the trust of the fans”.
The feeling between the red club on Merseyside and the 28-year-old footballer thus seems to be stronger: the award received, and the footballer’s consequent words, sound like a warning to the Italian suitors, who will have to put decidedly convincing arguments on the table if they really want to break up the sporting partnership. Inter and Roma, the last two to be interested, could try to resume talks as early as January, trying to anticipate the possible rise in the economic value of Enrico’s son.
