Two penalties save Fiorentina against Bologna. Pioli increasingly at risk

Florentin’s last-gasp comeback against Bologna in the first advance of the ninth day of Serie A: down 2-0 with a quarter of an hour to go, Pioli’s team managed to retake the Rossoblù thanks to penalties from Gudmunsson and Kean. However, the situation remains critical for the Emilia coach’s men, currently third-last with still zero wins after nine matches. Bologna regrets the three missed points and instead remains in fifth place at 14.
After a phase of study, Italiano’s lineup (out due to pneumonia, on the bench is his deputy Niccolini) definitely takes the initiative as the minutes pass and on 25′ unlocks the result thanks to Castro, who takes advantage of a wrong disengagement of the hosts’ defense to send an impeccable right-footed shot under the crossbar. The Gigliati came close to equalizing on 30′ with Ranieri, who squandered just a few steps away from Skorupski, but struggled to regain the initiative.
Ripresa, after a penalty awarded and taken away from the Viola, Bologna doubled at 52′ with Cambiaghi, who froze the Franchi materializing the beautiful action orchestrated by Orsolini and Holm. Whistles rained down from the stands, Pioli changed everything to shake up his team and inserted Fortini, Ndour and Dzeko for Fagioli, Mandragora and Gosens.
The Fiorentina team continued to play a good game.
Florentin continues to suffer and at 66′ Dallinga kicks the tris, cancelled for an earlier offside by Orsolini. The game changes in an instant: at 72′ the violets open everything again thanks to Gudmundsson, scoring on a penalty kick for a foul of Ferguson’s hand, and ten minutes later Bologna is left with 10 after Holm receives a second yellow card.
Pioli’s team with the numerical advantage attacked all’white-armed in the final part of the game, also inside Piccoli for Ranieri, and at 93′ found the penalty kick for a hand foul by Bernardeschi: from the penalty spot Kean was cold and made it 2-2. Before the triple whistle Dodò gobbles up the 3-2 for Fiorentina: it’s the last thrill, Gigliati still winless at the end of October.
