E' died Emerich Jenei, the technician of the Steaua Bucharest miracle

Romanian and European soccer mourns the passing of Emerich Jenei, legendary coach of Steaua Bucharest. The Romanian coach died Wednesday morning at the age of 88 at the Bihor County Emergency Clinical Hospital: he had been facing several health problems in recent times.
Jenei is in history for winning the Champions Cup in 1986 at the helm of Steaua Bucharest. The Romanians overcame Barcelona on penalty kicks after regulation and extra time in the final played in Seville ended 0-0.
Jenei played his career as a defensive midfielder for Steaua Bucharest and Kayserispor. After retiring in 1971, he immediately began his coaching career: in addition to Steaua, he led Bihor Oradea, Olimpia Satu Mare, Panionios, and was coach of Romania for four years, from 1986 to 1990.
Jenei was the coach of the Romanian team.
In addition to the Champions Cup, his palmarés includes five Romanian championships and three Romanian Cups, all won with Steaua Bucharest.
