Novak Djokovic, from Australia news that displaces everyone
Craig Tiley spoke about the possibility of seeing Djokovic at the upcoming Australian Open
Novak Djokovic’s presence at the 2023 Australian Open is in strong doubt. Craig Tiley, CEO of Tennis Australia, spoke in words reported by ‘TennisWorld’ about the possibility of seeing the Serbian champion at the first Slam of the year.
“It’s not an issue we can push on. Novak and the government have to work it out between themselves, we will then comply and follow all instructions,” Tiley said.
“We will not interfere between the two sides, they will have to decide. We would obviously be delighted to welcome him back here to Australia,” he concluded.
In 2022, the 21-time Slam champion missed just the Australian Open and also the US Open.
The term ATP refers to the association that brings together all male professional tennis players from all corners of the world.
