Fiorentina market, Fabio Paratici explains his choice
Fabio Paratici, Fiorentina’s new sporting director, introduced himself at a press conference. “I take this opportunity to thank President Rocco Commisso and Ferrari– he began – I also thank all the Commisso family, I congratulate Joseph who supported me in the last week after Rocco passed away. I also thank Tottenham who gave me the opportunity to come to Fiorentina, to live five wonderful years, made me feel at home and waited for me in difficult moments”.
He then explained his choice to espouse the purple cause: “I chose to come to Fiorentina on December 15/16. Fiorentina had 6 points and Alessandro came to London. At that moment I decided to come to Fiorentina. It might have seemed like an unconscious choice, but instead it is a brave one: I weighed the various motivations. I thought Fiorentina has a very serious ownership, it has world-class infrastructure, it has a group of people with whom I felt symbiotic, it has a city to respect that gives advantages in terms of visibility”.
